Remembering our #electricloveshack

If you have not heard….

WE MOVED!!!!!

On February 22nd we officially said goodbye to our little home on Electric Avenue. It was God’s provision, and as we left it we tried to remember that…despite finding numerous new spots of mold on our belongings, the kitchen wall tearing off, the overall grossness, and the list continues. Mickenzie actually sat and cried when the weight of it hit.

Finding a new rental took longer than we expected. We lived in our little home for 20 months. We extended our lease an extra 6 months when our one year lease expired in July. In October of this year we began looking…and looking we kept doing until Monday February 9th when Mickenzie stumbled upon a listing on the East Nashville Google listserv that provided a description of a rental house in our budget JUST AROUND THE CORNER from our little shack…no pictures. We jumped at the chance and that Friday we signed the lease. God moved fast! (the funny thing is that we’ve been pressing into and praying through our house and Paul’s job for months. On February 8th Paul told God that he needed to know that he was listening, for real! BOOM!) We love our little home on Riverside Drive, that has almost everything we could have realistically wanted in our next house and then a few fun extras. A washer and dryer hook-up (!!!), a fenced in backyard, a bigger bedroom and bathroom, sweet duplex neighbors, a half bath…and it’s RIGHT by Shelby Park!!!!

It was perfect provision in God’s timing. Not ours.

In November, we almost moved into another house, only to pull out at the last second. When we thought we were going to be moving, we created the below videos in preparation. In the two videos you’ll find a positive review of our home, and then a review of the shortcomings of our little house!

I hope you enjoy. (Don’t make fun of my shower head and lack of make-up and that we accidentally shot it all vertically…newbs)

Love,

The Voughts
